Can you tell us a little bit about what BraunWeiss does?
BraunWeiss is a technology solutions provider based in Newton, MA, focusing in FinTech and Digital Technologies.
Can you tell us a little bit about your experience at BraunWeiss, your role, how long you’ve been there, what you enjoy most?
I am Director of Client Services at BraunWeiss. I have been with BraunWeiss for over 3 years. I like the constant activity and communication between departments.
What are some typical roles that BraunWeiss hires for? And what majors/areas of study do you look for to fill those roles?
We typically look for Business Analysts and Financial Data Analysts. Anyone that has a background in technology or Finance would be a good fit.
How did COVID 19 impact the way BraunWeiss operates? How did it affect recruiting?
Because of COVID we reduced number of internship opportunities, however we increased the number of team members.
What is the current state of operations? Operating Virtually, In person or both? Have any jobs or internship programs changed?
We operate in person. Our internships are very hands-on so we do not offer virtual internships.
What do you envision for Fall 2021/Spring 2022 Recruiting? Will recruiting occur virtually/in-person/or both? Will jobs and internships in 2021/2022 be remote or in person?
All our roles are in-person.
What have you seen students do in the virtual recruiting space that has been most successful?
Our experience with virtual recruiting has been challenging and we are looking forward to recruiting in person.
Do you have any additional tips for students to concur the virtual job hunt, networking and interview process?
I would recommend them to be prepared, make sure they have a good network connection, they dress professionally and make sure they do not cancel last minute or not show up.
What is the best way to make your resume stand out from the crowd among so many applications?
Focusing on work experience, listening skills, and making the resume easy to read.
Can you share a little bit about the company culture at BraunWeiss? Affinity Groups, DEI Initiatives, Philanthropy, Flexible work, etc.
BraunWeiss is a very creative environment. We are very flexible and look for ways to improve the way we do business. Philanthropy is a huge part of BraunWeiss. We have a full time initiative to support non-profit organizations pro bono. We completed over 100 projects and provided over 7,000 volunteer hours.
