In-Person & Remote Appointments
The CCD has adapted many of its in-person services and resources to be available for students wherever they are. But did you know that in-person appointments are still available on a limited basis?
When you are seeking a one-on-one appointment with a career educator, you can decide the format of your session that will work the best for you. If you want a virtual appointment, you can make the appointment in Handshake as you would schedule any other career event. If, however, you’d prefer to talk face to face, you can do so. Simply email your request to future@bu.edu and we’ll work with you to find a date and time that will work for you.

Virtual Career Fairs
This semester, the University-Wide Career Fair will take place in Handshake. Handshake virtual career fairs give you the same access to exciting organizations seeking Terriers for internship and job opportunities as you would find at an in-person fair, from the comfort of your home!

Handshake virtual career fairs give students a more curated, efficient experience without having to wait in line. Before the fair, you will receive session recommendations via email and be able to easily review the list of attendees based on your interests. Attending organizations may host group interviews or 1:1 sessions, which you can participate in via video chat directly from the Handshake website or app.
To prepare for the fair, RSVP in Handshake. Make sure your Handshake profile is up to date to receive the best possible recommendations. Other than that, prepare as you would for any other career event; revise your resume in VMock and make sure you dress for success!
